FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS YOUR TURNAROUND TIME?

It changes, depending on the time of year, but generally you will have your final gallery available to you by your 1-month anniversary.

WHERE ARE YOU BASED? DO YOU TRAVEL?

I am based out of rural NSW, Wagga Wagga specifically, but I can travel almost anywhere.

DO YOU GIVE OUT RAW FILES/UNEDITED IMAGES?

I don’t. Quality is important, and giving you unedited images is giving an unfinished work. I will never leave out images that are the most important to you or to your story, and if I have forgotten any, just ask!

WHAT IF OUR WEDDING GETS CANCELLED?

You will pay a 20% deposit on the day you book. If you cancel your wedding, that deposit is non-refundable. If I am unable to shoot your wedding for some reason, you will receive a full refund and every ounce of my time will be put into ensuring you have a photographer to take my place. (That’s really unlikely, I’m sorry to even bring it up).

DO YOU CHOOSE PORTRAIT LOCATIONS?

I can, but it’s often best if we shoot in an environment that is meaningful or familiar to you. If you have a place you would like to have pictures taken, I’d love to shoot there.

DO I NEED TO HAVE AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION?

Not at all! But I would highly recommend them - they’re a great way for us all to get to know one another.

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

Generally, no. But if you have specific circumstances that mean you need a payment plan, I am happy to chat to you about it.

DO I NEED TO BE NUDE FOR A MATERNITY SESSION?

No, not at all. In saying that, I shoot maternity and motherhood to accentuate the primal nature of mothers and their children, with a focus on skin to skin, breastfeeding, etc. If you would like more traditional maternity photographs, I can recommend somebody to you.

WILL WE NEED TO RESCHEDULE OUR SHOOT IF THERE IS BAD WEATHER?

Not if I can help it! I like to shoot in whatever circumstances we’re given. Plus, there is nothing better to shoot in than a rainstorm.

ARE YOUR PACKAGE PRICES FLEXIBLE?

Prices are firm.

THREE FINAL THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW -

  1. You should really love my work. You need to feel a connection to it, love showing it to people, and loving having it in your home. If you don’t, that’s okay! But booking me solely because I’m close by and fit your budget will not be in the best interest of you, me, or your final pictures.

  2. You should print! Printing is experiencing your photos the way they are intended to be viewed. It’s like the peach that you pick off the tree after months of growing and nurturing a plant, finally ready to be enjoyed. It’s photos all grown up.

  3. You should utilise your environment. I hear a lot of photographers pushing their couples to find Airbnb’s, expensive hotels, places to get ready or get pictures. The truth is, the places that hold the most sentimental value to you are the places you should be.
